Thursday 25th May 2023 Kurunjang Secondary College celebrated the annual commemoration of African day in Australia. The event was marked by a great presentation from an Australian young person of African heritage Ms Mariam Koslay who is an advocate on economic and information equity, youth justice of African youths related issues. The presentation addressed topics, for example, African political history, colonialism, liberation, and importantly five top African leaders whose contributions shaped African continent, politically, economically, and socially. The organisation of African Unity as a political unity was highlighted as the basis of economic, social, and political independence of African states from the European domination.
