Joeys Yarning Space

We acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional custodians,
past and present of this land of the Anaiwan, Banbai, Dunghutti,
Jukambal, Kambuwal, Weraerai, Kamilaroi, Ngoorabul and Gumbaynggirr as acknowledged by Armidale Lands Council, people who long before us lived,
loved and raised their children on this land.
We also acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
in our community and acknowledge their deep physical
and spiritual connections to the land.

Students at Joeys embarked on a learning and acknowledgement journey this past fortnight. We were very privileged to host multiple learning and truth telling ceremonies throughout National Reconciliation Week. This week we acknowledged the 67 Referendum and Mabo day and moving into the future as one people. We want to thank all guest who engaged with us during this time and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
