The Middle of a Term

There is much to be said about passing the middle of a term, climbing half the mountain or completing half of your 2000 word assignment. It has always been encouraged to me that we don't lose focus of the end task or set goal. The middle sometimes feels like that we are at the top of a mountain and just on the other side is the home stretch. Everything might seem like it is down hill or for some others the complete opposite. We encourage all students to continue their focus of sustained learning and engagement like us as adults in our various jobs do. For the end will come sooner than you think or expect.

This leads us into sharing report cards at the end of the term which for some will seem scary but I would encourage you to view these reports with a collaborative mind. The reports are a snapshot in time encompassing the last 20 weeks of schooling. This isn't the end of their learning journey rather a stepping stone along the way. The reports allow teachers to showcase where your childs learning is at the current time. It should spark conversation around achievement and engagement rather than about how good or bad we think they did. Please be encouraged to share these with your child and to sit down and discuss their success.
