Working bee
We will be holding a working bee on Sunday May 15 from 9-11am and look forward to seeing as many families as possible attend. We haven't been able to hold many over the last two years so we've got some work to do!
Our top priorities will be mulch spreading (again... this is a working bee staple as it maintains the safety standards required surrounding the playgrounds) and replenishing the sand levels to the sandpit outside the prep classroom. Other jobs on the list include external cleaning doors/windows/entry to the theatre, repainting the hand rail around the deck of the 3/4 and 5/6 rooms and cleaning the entrance of the library.
As always, we will provide some equipment, however, any additional equipment (clearly labelled) you can bring makes the morning a bit easier. A light morning tea will also be provided at the conclusion - we look forward to seeing you and your family.

School Cross Country
On Monday we held our school cross-country which had been postponed due to bad weather last week. We were blessed with a beautiful day this time, and were very pleased to hold one of our first whole-school activities for a while.
The day started with the older students running their races, then the younger students ran a lap or two of the oval while being encouraged and supported by the rest of the school, and we finished with some fun games including three-legged races, tunnel-ball and sack races.
For those who made it to the District event, it will be held next Tuesday May 17 at Ruffey Lake Park.
Our Kilometre Club started this week and will run at 8:45 each school morning. Come along to run a few laps - it's a great way to get warmed up and ready for your school day.
Enjoy your weekend,
Jimmy Harris
