Later Years 

In fitting with connection, a major focus of the college and the year 12 cohort this year, the senior centre was recently decorated with a tree—a collage of leaves that over the past week, every year twelve student adorned on each a quote that they find inspiring or reflective of them. The goal of this is to establish an atmosphere in the senior centre that is more inviting, and too, to foster an encouraging and motivating environment!

Relatedly, it’s been so great seeing everyone get closer and new friendships form as our final year progresses; a result of bonding in joint study periods in the senior centre, forming study groups, and having a mix of classes with different people. Seeing that the past two years have been spent in lockdown, it’s especially exciting finally being able to do all the things that come with being in year twelve and turning eighteen.

Good luck to all VCE students in some of the final SACs of Unit 3, and on a final note, year twelve formal is also fast approaching and along with the teachers that are joining us, we’re all looking forward to a great night of laughs and dancing!
