Middle Years

It has been a busy first few weeks of Term 2 and it's been great to see all of the co-curricular activities up and running, across Year 7, 8 and 9, given the disruptions of the past two years.

Cocurricular activities are an excellent opportunity for our students to challenge themselves, build new relationships and see their learning from the classroom applied in different contexts.

Year 7 have already finished their first Home Group Competition for the year. They put their general knowledge to the test in a series of Kahoots at lunchtime, with 7C emerging as the victors. The cohort has also been testing their riding skills by completing bike rides to and from Jells Park.

While all this was happening, Year 8 students visited the KIOSC program. Their studies for the day focused on Energy and Geo Hazards. This has provided them with a great opportunity for students to extend their learning in Science.

Our Year 9 cohort have just completed their Morrisby Testing and later in the year will receive an individualised meeting unpacking their Careers Interest Profile.

Students can also look forward to an upcoming Home Group Competition in their Explore classes and the Girl Boss Club, which will run weekly at lunchtimes.

Students at our college have a wide range of co-curricular activities to participate and excel in. These activities give them opportunities to grow as learners and as citizens of the wider community. We encourage all our students to continue to engage in these activities as it will provide them with a chance to learn so much more about themselves and those around them.
