With Staughton College back to ‘business as usual’ this year the library has been buzzing. Students are visiting throughout the day for study and recreation including before and after school.   We are loving the number of students showing renewed interest in the library as a quiet place, a meeting place and a friendly place. Circulation is constantly busy and we aim to have an up-to-date collection catering to the needs of all stakeholders. Student requests are our priority and the new books we add are walking out the door as fast as we can get them onto the shelves. The renewed interest in our collections is wonderful and we have particularly noted the increased interest in the non-fiction area. This is one of the zones we are concentrating on updating and once again student interest has been the focus of our ordering throughout the non-fiction collection.

The Covid lockdowns have given us some challenges with overdue books. As student learning was divided between our house and yours, we fear some of the books students borrowed may have been misplaced in the depths of the bedroom or perhaps, have ended up through the wardrobe in Narnia. If everyone could have a look through the dark corners, old school bags, behind cupboards or even in the bottom of the wardrobe behind the coats, we may be able to return these items to circulation for everyone to enjoy. We appreciate your help and support with this.

We are looking forward to continued interest in the library and welcoming everyone to come in to explore the collection, for a game, study, quiet reading or simply a chat.
