Dear Parents/Carers, Families and College Community

Most Year 12s are now half way through their academic year which means that they need to be looking at where they stand in terms of qualification and course completion. Our collective goal needs to be to have them finish their schooling with maximum outcomes. We do routinely analyse every student at the subject level but also more broadly across their whole program and make changes to their program as necessary to achieve this goal. Parents can assist from home by encouraging their Year 12 to be proactive in this process and not leave things to the last minute. Countryweek in next term will cause a distraction for some so the earlier we get on top the better.

Thankyou

The Agricultural Advisory Committee is a group of well-respected and successful industry representatives who provide advice to ensure that our farm operation and the training our students receive is at industry standard. We have had some long standing and highly effective members on the committee. One such member, Brad Harnett, has tendered his resignation this week after some 25 years on the committee.  Brad was part of a group of Agricultural Advisory members who were instrumental in guiding the College and advising the Department of Education more broadly on the shift of the College to the Wokalup campus. As such, Brad has been an important witness to and participant in the evolution of the College to the amazing learning establishment it is today.

Brad was a graduate of the College himself and so has had a connection to the College over many decades. I would like to formally thank Brad for his service and support to the College over many years and the role he has played in our development. Brad has kindly agreed to be our graduation speaker and I look forward to him sharing his story with us.

Regards
