2017 MESC Production

Shrek Jr. the Musical

I have always been a huge fan of doing the school productions and have done them at every chance I got. This year’s production of Shrek Junior the Musical was by far the best.  We always say that these shows allow students from all year levels to interact and become friends. I think this year that has been the case, more so than any other show I’ve done with Mount Eliza Secondary.

Not only has this show allowed me to be a mentor and support to students in every year level I have made many new friends.

After months of rehearsals and hours and hours of hard work from students, parents and teachers we finally got to perform our show six times to over 750 local primary school students, families and friends. I am always blown away by how much each individual cast member develops into an amazing confident performer. No one cared whether you had the lead or you were a member of the ensemble, everyone was friendly, everyone helped each other and supported each other.

I would again like to say a huge thank you to all the teachers involved especially Mrs Williams, Mrs Zimmerling, Mrs Claringbold, Mrs Collard & Mrs Swannell.   We could never do this without you and I don’t think you guys get enough credit for the work you do behind the scenes.

I can’t speak more highly of participating in our College Production, whenever you have a chance to get involved I urge you to do so.

I wish the best of luck to all future performances at Mount Eliza Secondary College and I can’t wait to see you all in shows in the years to come.
