Would you like to become an integral part of the St Pius community? Being a class parent/year group representative is a great way to meet other parents in your son's year and has the added bonus of being in charge of the social events held for that year! That's about it - arrange a few social events for your year and send out a list of contact information to the parents, all with the help and support of other year group parents and the Class Parent Coordinator.
We are in need of class parents/year group representatives for 5 Gold, 6 Red, 6 Blue, 6 Green, Year 8 and Year 10 so if you're interested, please contact Cassie Buono at cassiebuono@gmail.com.
Invitation attached below.
With the contemporary issues of supporting teenagers in their use of online technology and social media in the educational context of late, it is timely that we have been able to invite Mr Greg Gebhart from the Office of the Commissioner of eSafety to present at the College Gym on Tuesday 19 February between 7.00 and 8.30pm.
Parking will be available in the school yard to cater for members of the wider St Pius X College and OLD Primary School communities who have been invited. Free bookings can be made through the Trybooking website below for the purposes of setting out seating and asking the P & F to support with tea, coffee and nibbles after the presentation. https://www.trybooking.com/453005
I look forward to seeing as many parents as possible on the evening. The Office of the eSafety Commissioner has requested that this presentation be aimed at parents only. However, over the coming year it may be valuable to coordinate a session where both students and parents attend to hear the same message. Your feedback or suggestions regarding the session would be valued.
