PRAYER:
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
As golf legend Ben Hogan said, 'As you walk down the fairway of life, you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round.' In the end, when we look at our life, perhaps the questions will be simple:
Did I live fully?
Did I love well?
Ancient Egyptians believed that upon their death they would be asked by the gods two questions and their answers would determine whether they could continue their journey in the afterlife. The first question was, 'Did you bring joy?' The second was, 'Did you find joy?' These goals then become a sacred charge in life and the only way to obtain eternal happiness.

Bishop's Letter to Year 12 Students
Bishop Comensoli has written a beautiful letter to the Year 12 students across the Diocese in prayerful support of their HSC and their conclusion to secondary schooling. I share it with you below.
Year 9 PLD Trial
As from Monday 4th September we will be trialling with Year 9 the removal of their PLD administrator rights, which means they will have limited access to games and videos, and putting in place a curfew, meaning they will be unable to log in between 10pm and 6am. We are doing this to support the students in achieving a balance in their lives and relationships, and getting the sleep they need.
The Year 9 teachers have been briefed to support the students in managing their time and their device use. The trial will run until the end of term, and they will receive their administrator rights back for the holidays. We will be surveying students, parents and staff to evaluate the process. Please read the letter below to Year 9 Parents from Ms Anne Gripton, Innovation and Knowledge Management Coordinator.

Football and AFL (Junior) Presentation
Last night the Junior Football and AFL Presentations and the Senior Football presentations were held. These were great events, recognising the contribution of the many students who have proudly represented our school in these sports.
My thanks to the parents and students and to the Sportsmasters Mr Virgona and Mr Stearn, the Convenors Mr Cummins, Mrs Cummins (AFL) and Mr Yue. The boys are indeed fortunate to have the expert coaches provided by the Football Club and the dedicated teaching staff. We also recognise the many Old Boys now involved in coaching teams as well. A great season – congratulations to all.
