Upcoming Event

All Girls Can – Try a Trade Day - Friday 6th March

The full day event facilitated by Future Connect will be held at AGA (Deer Park location) and will provide a hands-on experience for girls in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and automotive. All Girls Can – Try a Trade Day is for girls who:

  • Are in Year 10 in 2020; and
  • Know that a career in one of the trade areas is for them; or
  • Have shown a strong interest in pursuing a trade
  • Have shown ability, skill or interest in trade and do not know what the next steps are.

This is a strategically focussed event to help remove some of the barriers some girls may feel about pursuing a non-traditional career in trades.

Melton Library - work experience

Applications are now open for 2020 work experience program with Melton Library. 

Applications close: 27 March 2020.

Successful students will be notified by: Friday, 17 April 2020.

 

Year 10 students who do their work experience at Melton libraries have the opportunity to work with professional library staff in a busy and vibrant environment, and learn about the different ways libraries make contributions to community life.  Work experience students will only be accepted on the following dates:

Term 2 2020

  • 25 – 29 May
  • 22 – 26 June
  • 29 June – 3 July

Term 3 2020

  • 3 – 7 August
  • 10 – 14 August
  • 14 – 18 September

Australia's Biggest Careers & Education event. Exhibitors include providers of VCE resources, universities, TAFE, training colleges and employers PLUS Seminars on VCE subjects, tertiary courses, career, employment, apprenticeship, gap year and study advice.
