Winter Appeal Follow-up

In last week's Woodchatta we were able to bring you photos of the hard work from many classes to ensure that all of our generous donations made it through to those in need.

The Jesuit Refugee Service found great difficulty in assisting the most vulnerable of our community during our period of lock down and the many donations from St Pius X College have gone a long way to ensuring that they can continue their work.

We have since received some feedback from the Jesuit Refugee Service who wished to thank our community for their support.  It gives us great delight to share below the letter of thanks from Carolina Gottardo (Director of Jesuit Refugee Services).

Included in their message of thanks was an invitation for continued support. The Mission and Identity Team will look to follow up this invitation so that in future students from St Pius X College may be able to work during the holidays to assist JRS with their work as part of our Edmund Rice Hours Program once restrictions are lifted.

Once again thank you to all who supported our Winter Appeal, it is heartening to know that our efforts were genuinely needed and gratefully accepted.
