School Reports

One of the consequences of the Covid19 remote learning period is that our normal format for reporting does not satisfy the needs of our students, teachers and parents. The A to E format will not be used this Semester, it will return in Semester Two.

The most recent advice from the government Schools Policy Group, is to support flexibility for systems to make choices around reporting in Semester 1 with some minimum guidelines required.

As such, the options for reporting on student progress in Semester 1 2020 are those which best meet the needs of the students, families and school community. The options we have chosen and developed have been based upon the following minimum considerations:

  • The importance of being able to provide feedback to families that is meaningful and worthwhile.
  • Feedback provided must have information on student engagement and participation with learning, general information on their progress in some or all areas.
  • Ensure the well being of all in the community; students, families and staff.

Term Two- Interim Report

At the end of Semester One all children will receive a checklist outlining their engagement and progress in the Key Learning Areas of Religion, English and Maths and in work habits and social behaviour. This report will only be available to download via the Compass App.

Term Three - Student Led Conferences

  • Formal Conferences are to be scheduled and conducted mid Term Three.
  • Learning progress and engagement will be presented by the student to the parents/carers, the information  will include things such as achievements or milestones in learning reached.
  • Students will also clearly articulate upon the next steps for their learning in Semester 2.

More information on the Term Three Student Led Conferences will be shared with parents early Term Three.
