Pope Francis Prayer to Mary during the Coronavirus pandemic

O Mary, you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. 

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,

who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, 

keeping your faith firm.

You, our Patroness of our Diocese of Armidale, 

know what we need, and we are sure you will provide, 

so that, as in Cana of Galilee, we may return to joy and

feasting after this time of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love, 

to conform to the will of the Father, and to do as we are told by Jesus, 

who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us,

through the cross, to the joy of the resurrection.

Under your protection, we seek refuge,

Holy Mother of God. 

Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial,

but deliver us from every danger, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

Sacramental Program

As mentioned in the previous newsletter, the 2020 Sacramental Program has been delayed due to COVID-19. At this stage, First Reconciliation will go ahead as originally planned (Term 3), but may have to make arrangements that reflect directives issued by the Government. More information about specific dates will come out early next term.

Dates for First Eucharist and Confirmation will be announced as soon as Bishop Michael indicates when we are allowed to recommence these programs.

News from the Parish

Masses are being held in accordance with Government regulations, until further notice. There is a limit of 50 people at any one Mass. If you wish to attend Mass, please register with the Parish Office on (02) 67420200 between 8:30am-12:30pm weekdays. Entrance to the Church is by the front door (weekend Masses) or the side door (weekday Masses).

4:00pm Sacred Heart Church, Boggabri

6:00pm St Joseph’s Church, Gunnedah

Sundays

8:30am St Joseph’s Church, Gunnedah

11:00am St Therese’s Church, Mullaley (1st & 3rd Sunday of the month)

11:00am Mary Immaculate Church, Tambar Springs (2nd & 4th Sunday of the month)

Weekdays

9:15am Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays St Joseph’s Church, Gunnedah 

11:00am + 5:30pm Fridays St Joseph’s Church, Gunnedah (two Masses on Fridays until further notice)
