Dear Parents and Carers

This statement has been a favourite of mine for some time but more so during this unusual year.

Lead with passion

Fuel up with optimism                       

Have faith

Power up with love

Maintain hope

Be stubborn

Fight the good fight

Refuse to give up

Ignore the critics

Believe in the impossible

Show up

Do the work

You’ll be glad you did

True grit leads to true success

If you could see inside the classrooms you would be really comforted to know that this is exactly what is happening. The work I’m seeing as I visit rooms is an indication that the teachers have moved swiftly to help the children into the work habits they need to be successful. Classrooms are back to places of structured learning where the children have opportunities to discuss their thought processes and share their ideas. 

I am really pleased with the power team taking on the role of the P&F Committee. It’s always a small percentage of people who are able to make the commitment and the whole community appreciates what the P&F does for our school. We look forward to some fun fundraising ideas and we appreciate the good ideas and comments received in the survey. 

As we head into the next break I hope things in your house are good and that the whole Covid period has not impacted too heavily on your family. These are trying times and we appreciate the work you all do to support us.
