Principal News

Dear Brookside Community,

A big thank you to all of our amazing students, staff and families for your continued support as we enter another period of remote online learning. We understand these unprecedented times have presented challenges, obstacles and the need for adjusting, however the staff at the College have been working really hard and reviewing resources/processes to provide the most efficient form of teaching throughout this experience. Our priority is and always will be the students’ learning and wellbeing.

Our teaching and learning follows the DET online learning guidelines as a Victorian Government School. However, online learning at Brookside will continue to evolve as we reflect on the feedback we receive and determine the ways in which we can improve moving forward.

A Huge Well Done!

We would like to take this opportunity to recognise and celebrate how well our school community have embraced the two new changes in this period of remote learning. There has been an extremely positive response to students participating in their daily HG/class Zooms, as well as the focus group Zooms in the primary years. Students have thoroughly enjoyed this time connecting with their teacher and peers, and have appreciated having this opportunity scheduled into their daily learning routine.

Prep Enrolments for 2021

A reminder that we are currently continuing to accept Prep 2021 enrolments. Please note that enrolment is not automatic for families who already have a child/children currently attending the college – families will still need to apply to enrol their prep child at the school if they wish for them to attend. Parents/Guardians who are interested in enrolling their child at Brookside next year are encouraged to contact the College on 7379 1555 for details on the enrolment process.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation Brookside College is unable to offer school tours. However, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or phone if you have any questions at any time.

Year 6-7 Transition 2021

If you intend for your child to attend a different school in Year 7 2021, please ensure that you notify the college as soon as possible so that we may best assist your child in their transition.
