Remote Learning

Fun Fridays

This coming Friday, 21 August the Fun Friday theme will be "Bring Your Pet to School".

We hope that your pet can join in the google meets and work alongside you with your work. Alternatively you can dress up as an animal for the day!

The following Friday 28 August is "Crazy Hair Day." Let's see what crazy hairdos everyone comes up with.

Remote learning Term 3

Here is a snapshot of what has been happening during remote learning recently (Below).

Harry is very proud of his construction using dominoes.

Alexander was learning to draw an elephant for Visual Arts this week and then taught his sister  Annabelle how to draw one also.

Eleonora and her sister Elisea are being creative with chalk outside.

Performing Arts

What incredibly talented and diverse families our students come from!  This week in Performing Arts, the 3/4 and 5/6 classes were asked to interview an older family member to find out what their favourite dance was when they were younger. They were asked to learn it and then send me a photo or video and answer some questions about it. We had dances such as the Cha Cha, YMCA, Nutbush, Moon Walk, Macarena, Twist, Chinese Shuffle Dance, Locomotion, Kalamatianos (Greek dance), Rock n Roll, Hustle, Salsa,  Running Man and many more.  It certainly put a huge smile on my face watching parents, grandparents, teachers, aunts and uncles teaching our students these dances. Thank you to all involved.  The Prep and 1/2 classes were asked to try to choreograph some steps for the 2020 Count Us In Song and I am thrilled with the videos and photos that they are sending in.  Despite these being super tricky and trying times, it is lovely to see so many connections made by doing these tasks.

Thank you to all - Lou Devoy (Performing Arts)
