Our term is going well and it’s been wonderful to see students being able to participate in activities such as excursions and camps. Across the school, our students are working hard and showing the Tally way by being respectful and caring.

Staff Appreciation Day – 29 October 2021

This Friday, we mark our annual celebration of ‘Staff Appreciation Day’ with students.  On this day, we acknowledge and say thank you to every member of Team Tally staff.  We choose to mark appreciation for our staff members on one day, rather than across separate days for different employee groups, because we are one team, working together to help our students and community.  Every member of Team Tally plays an important part in making our school a special place where children are cared for and supported to succeed.

Our students were given the opportunity to write certificates of appreciation for staff members of their choice and these will be displayed on the walls near our tuckshop tomorrow.  I invite you to express your appreciation to staff members on that day too (e.g. send a note, write an email, send a Dojo message).  Email addresses are on our website.

Prep 2022 Interviews

Lots of excited children have visited for their Prep interviews this week.  During the interviews, future Prep children complete fun activities with one of our friendly staff members and we use the opportunity to learn about what our individual students will need for a successful start to school.

Catering for the needs of our students is important to us, right from the start. We also appreciate the information that parents and carers provide us and the transition statements from Early Learning Centres.

Year 6 Camp

Our Year 6 students are having a wonderful time on their camp on Moreton Island. More than a few parents told me that they wished they were going to Tangalooma too.

Sensational Sock Day

A friendly reminder that Sensational Sock Day is next week (Thursday, 4 November).  More information is on Class Dojo for parents and carers.
