MASKS – Message from the School Captain.

This term, students from years 3 to 6 are required to wear a mask in all indoor spaces and classrooms. Wearing masks protects teachers, parents, visitors and students. As School Captain for 2021, I highly recommend that students get used to wearing their masks by practising, before they come back to school. I am so used to wearing my mask now that I hardly even notice when I have it on and this makes it more comfortable for me.

Although students from Prep to Two are not required to wear a mask, masks do protect us all from Covid 19 and so I support those of you who do want to wear one and so do our teachers.

When bringing your mask to school make sure you have multiples so that you can change them regularly throughout the day. It is also a good idea to have a plastic bag or similar in which to place used masks. Don’t forget to wash your hands and use hand sanitiser before you eat, after recess and lunch and when you are putting on or taking off your mask. If you are using disposable masks and want to change them, then make sure you break the ear loops and put the used mask in the bin.

We don’t have to wear our masks outdoors during play. They are just for indoor use to keep us all safe and healthy.
