Set up Compass

We use Compass for all our school communications, it is essential that you have access to this platform. You will have received the login procedure for COMPASS in the mail.

For login instruction and to download the app, please head to "Learning Technologies @ TPS" page.

Uniform Options

We support local and sustainable/ethical suppliers and cost effective choices for families.

We have a variety of options for children with our uniform policy including department store blue t-shirts and back trousers.

All student clothing at TPS must meet our Sunsmart and Student Wellbeing policies including closed toe shoes and covered shoulders.

All students require a Sunsmart hat to play on high UV days.  We have a "No Hat, Shade Play" strategy which does restrict some areas of play without a hat.

TOP 5 TIPS FOR UNIFORMS

  1. Name and Class/Teacher Name on all clothing items especially hats  "Felix FA"  or  "Felix/Tali"
  2. Shoe recommendations are velcro and suitable for play and running outside
  3. Spares in the bag - accidents and mess happens (put in spare underpants, socks, trousers and a top)
  4. Lost Property is managed by the front office - often things turn up in a few days
  5. Consider weather options for Melbourne's 5 seasons in one day!

We use PSW Online to supply our TPS logo uniform https://www.psw.com.au/parents.

DEADLY Threads

We also provide school based uniform options including our DEADLY HOODIE, NAIDOC t-shirt and Wool Tunic, you will be notified when these become available in 2021.

Food (Healthy / Nude Food/Lunch orders)

Families are encouraged to send their child to school with healthy food that contains minimal wrappings or preferably nude food:

  • Recess - eg fruit, sultanas, biscuits
  • Fruit/Vegetable snack (finger food)
  • Lunch - eg sandwich and fruit
  • Water bottle

Students are given eating time in classrooms before play breaks begin.

We use Classroom Cuisine for our lunch orders.  This is an online service. Please order before 8.30 each day. This service is currently available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Visit https://classroomcuisine.com.au to order.

Food Allergies / Anaphylaxis

We have a number of students with food allergies. In order to manage the risk of anaphylactic reactions, we do not allow children to share food at school.

We also encourage students to eat in the classroom so they they are not bringing allergens into the yard.

Some classes will receive further communication at the beginning of the year to limit how much of a known allergen they have in their packed lunch each day.

*There is further information about this in the Policies at TPS page
