VCE Music Performance Examinations and College Musicians out and about.

Our three VCE Music Performance students, Alexa Balog, Jemima Bishop-Mowatt, and Ned Walker have this week completed their VCE Performance Examination, here at the College.  This is a first for the College to host music performance examinations.  The College music department and the Kantor Family Music and Performing Arts Centre was selected by the VCAA as the venue to host these examinations due to ongoing enrolments in the subject, reputation for excellence in music and for our outstanding facilities.  In the past, these examinations have only been held in metropolitan areas with Western Victorian students having to travel.  Alexa, Jemima, and Ned are dedicated and experienced musicians who have displayed proficient ensemble and solo musicianship skills throughout their time at the College. 

Congratulations to all students who performed at the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival over the weekend. Students were involved in the Bell Curve, Federation Bells Concert at St Brigid’s Crossley, in the Regenerators Solo String Concert accompanied by Stefan Cassomenos at the Lecture Hall and in the Closing Gala of the festival.  This was the first festival since 2019 and a resounding success.

We are excited to announce that in November the College will host both the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and the Australian String Quartet.  Both are highly recognised ensembles and will work with our students and present concerts for the community in the Kantor Family Music and Performing Arts Centre. See dates below.
