From the Acting Principal 

A TEAM OF EXCELLENT STAFF

We are very excited to announce the following staff appointments for 2023:

Mrs Janette Rovers – School Counsellor

Janette has 25 years’ experience, working internationally and is currently with CatholicCare Victoria. She has a deep understanding of the complexities of schools, providing timely interventions for school staff, students, and parents. We look forward to welcoming Janette and she is certainly excited to join our school community. 

Miss Eleanor Dixon – Director of Sport 

Ellie is currently working at Trinity Grammar School in Melbourne and has recently worked at the Wren Academy in London. She has been instrumental in the organisation of Trinity’s Athletics and sporting programs. She is an experienced Psychology, Health, Science and Physical Education teacher. Ellie is an enthusiastic and passionate educator, and she is looking forward to ensuring our sporting program continues to enrich the lives of all our students.

Mrs Sarah Stevenson – English and History Teacher 

Sarah is an experienced teacher of English and History. She has previously held the roles of House Coordinator, Curriculum Development Co-ordinator and has been a VCAA assessor in both English and the GAT.  Sarah will be a wonderful addition to both our English and Humanities faculties. 

Mrs Emily Hausler – Head of Year 9 Experience

Many of you will know Emily as a parent and current teacher of Health and Science. After graduating with a Bachelor of Education (Secondary Physical Education – with Majors in Outdoor Ed & Science), Emily moved to Hamilton from Adelaide. Her roles have included developing Outdoor Education programs, including activities such as five day Grampians hikes, canoeing on the Glenelg River and snow skiing at Falls Creek and the co-ordination of sporting programs. 

Farewells

Sadly, this year we farewell some wonderful colleagues. Our Head of Learning support, Mrs Fran Agar, our Director of Early Learning, Mrs Frances O’Brien, School Counsellor, Mrs Kate Couchman, Head of LOTE Ms Yang Liu and LOTE teacher Mrs Jingwen Rong. 

We will acknowledge their enormous contribution at the end of the year. On behalf of the whole school community, I thank them for their dedication to College and our students.
