Principal's Report

Welcome back to school. I hope everyone had a lovely break whether you were at home or away. My family and I enjoyed time in Geelong (we were thrilled with the grand final result), then spent the second week exploring some of the iconic sights in Sydney (somewhat ironic).

We have had a very positive start to term 4, and we are looking forward to another term of focused learning and many exciting school activities before the end of the year – grade ¾ camp, grade 6 camp, sporting events and a colour run (just to name a few). It is always lovely to see how happy students are to be back at school and I have loved hearing some of their holiday adventure stories this week.

Over the holidays our lovely Ms Jess Turland Rhook (grade ¾ T) became engaged to Blake. We also congratulate Mr Nicholas Richardson on his marriage to Emma. On behalf of the school community we wish Jess and Blake, Nick and Emma, a life time of happiness together.

I would like to say thank you for the lovely messages of congratulations following my substantive appointment at Warrnambool East PS. I am thrilled and honoured to officially be a part of such a wonderful school community. I am really looking forward to connecting with everyone over time.  Please keep introducing yourselves as we cross paths around the school (formally and informally).  We are in the process of planning a parent forum (date to be advised in the next Link), where all parents will be invited to join us to celebrate all our achievements this year and provide feedback on how we can continue connecting and improving as a school and school community.

We wish the following students who are participating in the Greater Western Region Athletics in Ballarat tomorrow all the very best ;

  • Lillias McKellar
  • Lucy Kavanagh
  • Scarlett Pearce
  • Rebecca Rodda
  • Callum Wade
