From the Principal

Dear families,

As Term 3 draws to a close next week we want to take this opportunity to thank our community for the different ways they have been connecting with us across the site to support all of our learners. In the Childrens Centre our families have been providing their comments and contributions for a revised Purpose Statement to drive the improvement work at Woodville Gardens School, Birth to 6. Parents and Caregivers have also joined us for multiple Preschool transition sessions in our transition space in the Teal building as families prepare to continue their next part of the learning journey with us.

The whole community had an opportunity to come together for Book Week and in Week 10 we have Sports Day (postponed from Week 9 when the national day of morning was announced). At the end of Sports Day when students return to class we will be having our second Family Expo in the Purple building. We warmly invite all parents and caregivers to this informal event to talk with us about ideas and thoughts around our future directions and learn more about our unique site. Please let the Front Office know early in Week 10 if you are able to come along, for catering purposes, as we intend to run a BBQ and provide light refreshments for those registered.

Our whole school assembly, in the gym, is at 12.15 on Friday 30th September, the last day of Term, with early dismissal for students at 2pm. School returns on Monday 17th October.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all families a safe and happy holiday break; let’s hope we can all enjoy some sunshine and return healthy and energised ready for Term 4 learning!

Sue
