Art Exhibition

We have some really exciting news and an invitation for you all coming from the Art Department. On Thursday 17th November we will be having a whole school Art Exhibition which will showcase work from every student at our school. After a tough few years with limited opportunities to fully complete artworks and invite people in to see them on display, it is really wonderful to have this chance again.

The hallways of Great Ryrie will come alive with a variety of individual and collaborative artworks in a range of forms and styles that have been inspired by our studies into artists such as Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Tim Burton, Dale Chihuly, Georgia O’Keeffe, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jimmy Pike, Amanda Brooks, Pete Cromer and a range of Steampunk and abstract artists (just to name a few!). Students have been preparing their work for display and will be excited for their friends and families to come along and see it.

We have chosen this date to coincide with Great Ryrie’s Disco afternoon. With many guardians and friends coming to the school to drop off and pick up their children, it will hopefully make it easy for you to pop into the main school building and take a peak at the students’ creations.

I look forward to seeing you for a great afternoon of dancing and art.
