OGA Departing Girtonian Scholarship

The $2,000 scholarship is awarded each year to students who display good all-round commitment to the school’s values and who epitomise what it is to be a departing Girtonian with positive relationships, a commitment to life-long learning, leadership skills, resilience, spirituality and a commitment to social responsibility. The scholarship aims to support a departing student and as such, the needs and opportunities for each applicant will be considered. 

 

The scholarship is open to current Girton Grammar Year 12 students who meet the following criteria:

  • Life Membership to the OGA
  • A demonstrable commitment and enthusiasm across all aspects of the school curriculum
  • A demonstrable commitment and enthusiasm in co-curricular activities
  • A demonstrable commitment and enthusiasm to community service activities

 

The successful applicant will receive scholarship funds of $2,000 to be used for activities that relate directly to further education, professional development, travel, volunteer abroad and gap year programs and will be payable to the provider of the goods or services after provision of a valid Tax Invoice/Quotation.

Because of the current situation with COVID-19, the OGA have CANCELLED the following reunions:

Saturday 21st March: 10 Year Reunion (Class of 2010)

Friday 24th April: 40 Year Reunion (Class of 1980)

Saturday 9th May: 20 Year Reunion (Class of 2000)

Saturday 13th June: 30 Year Reunion (Class of 1990)

Saturday 5th September: 5 Year Reunion (Class of 2015)

 

We are anticipating setting new dates for the reunions once developments in relation to COVID-19 have improved.

 

We look forward to reconnecting with our alumni in person.
