Character Creation task.
Pictured above: 7 Aherne and 7 Riley
Using objects found around the home, students had to create a 'costume', dress up and take a photo with appropriate facial expression, body posture and gesture for one of the following characters:
a) The Warrior – the costume must include an outer protective item, a helmet and a weapon. Stance and Facial Expression: Ready for battle.
b) The Astronaut – the costume must include a reflective outer layer to protect you from space rays, something that represents an oxygen mask or breathing device and a tool for collecting space rocks. Posture and Facial Expression: Ready for adventure.
c) The Super Hero – This character cannot be a known superhero - this one is your own creation! ie Captain Underdacks, Wondercat, Iron Girl .... whatever crazy superhero you think the world needs right now! The costume must include bright colours, a cape and a headpiece as well as a prop -something that shows their super power or special skill. Posture and Facial Expression: Ready to Save The World.
d) The Villain - like the superhero, but the opposite! Costume: dark colours. Posture and Facial Expression: Ready to Destroy....someone or something!

Aherne Creative Challenge
Each week Ahernians are given a challenge. Last week Aherne students were tasked with the creative challenge of making a giraffe with whatever you have around the house and to send in a photo.
Congratulations Leonard Keats (12 Aherne) on his amazing effort.
Students were also given a physical challenge to track your outside movement and submit the total km's travelled. Well done Angus Falconer (10 Aherne) who ran a total of 52km for the week.
