Grades 4-6

The Grade 4-6 students have undertaken a number of assessments in the past weeks. These assessments were important for both the students and their teachers to let them know what they have achieved and importantly assist their teachers with their planning of learning experiences for next term.

On Friday all students shared their inquiry based learning. The presentations were informative and showed the knowledge that the students had gained through their investigations.

We are all very proud of how resilient all students have been and appreciate the support all families have given their children to cope with the unique situation we have found ourselves in this term.

Over the past few weeks, the students have undertaken a variety of learning tasks.

They included:

Photo Challenges which challenged students to take interesting photos of objects they found in their garden and neighbourhood and photos which showed reflections or shadows.

A virtual excursion to the Melbourne Zoo and Healesville Sanctury.

Some grades have pet fish, stick insects or even chicken but we had to imagine that we had a class Zombie. Here are some of our thoughts on how we would care for it.

If you are reading this it means this week you will be in charge of Zuse the zombie zebra. Which include chores like changing Zuse's newspapers , feeding it (remember NO mice brains we need them for chemistry) sewing it's limbs back on, making sure it doesn't sneeze (take it from someone who knows zombie snot is very easy to get stuck in) all of you have pets so just do what you do with them though there are some things i would advise against doing.

What not to do:

1:Give it tasty food you'll spoil it

2:Don't tell it to walk faster, it's very insecure about it's speed

3:Never say no at risk of starting a tantrum if you're having issues remembering all this then just imagine those little kids you see at the shop yelling "I want that!!!" or just "noooooooo!!!" and that Zuse is like this all the time.

Good luck (you'll need it)

How to care for pet Zombies

First of all, you need to know if your Zombie is a carnivore or not. If not you’re lucky. If it is RUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN AND STAY AWAY FOREVER UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET EATEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if your Zombie is not a carnivore then I suggest you feed it some vegetables but not chilies because they are too hot for any Zombies. Feed it 3 times a day: once in the morning, once at night, once in the middle of the night. Toilet wise, it should learn to do its business and the game you should play with it is find the vegetable: hide vegetable around classroom and get Zombie to spot it. This is all vegetarian zombies favourite game.

Our Zombie’s name is Bill. We are going to teach you how to take care of your zombie. Step 1: Social Distancing You must keep your zombie in a separate area from you. Unless you are willing to pay for something called a Z-band, you would know about them if you watched the movie Zombies. Search up Z-band.com/Lily and Zaynah to get 40 percent off your first Z-band purchase.

Step 2: Food You MUST keep at least 2 big brains with you (NOT HUMAN BRAINS) at all times. You can get free brains with any zombie butcher you find. A zombie’s favorite brain is the Caullibrain. You can find these at this store: L&Z zombie butcher with the promo code to get 50 percent off, I WANT BRAIN.

MY PET ZOMBIE.

We have a class pet zombie. His name is Destructive. His favourite thing to do is destroy, that’s why we named him Destructive.

First step to keep it away from destroying things is keep him chained up and give him all the ice cream you have. (If you can give him brain flavour.)

Step two don’t let anyone near him because he will rip them to shreds. And step three if anyone touches him and I mean anyone they will get the worst disease ever known to human kind.
