Swimming Carnival

Term 1 has been an exciting and busy start to the year in the world of Sport at University High School!

We began the term with our School Swimming Sports, at a new location this year – the Coburg Olympic Outdoor Swimming Pool! It was great to see so many people participating and cheering on their sub schools, despite the new challenges that Covid-19 and RATs presented us for the third year in a row!

Here are the final results from the carnival – a big congratulations to Johnston for going back to back!

Well done to the following swimmers who were named age group champions, a terrific effort:

And let’s not forget our best dressed awards: Zach F, Hannah O & Ms Hafey!!

Congratulations to all students on their efforts throughout the day and a big thank you to all staff that played a role in supporting a very successful swimming carnival this year.

Following on from the School Swimming Sports, 48 qualifying students ventured out to the Fitzroy Pool to compete in the Inner North Division Swimming competition. All students did a fantastic job, putting in a huge effort across the day, particularly when having to compete in all the individual events plus the 2 relay team events!

Overall, it was hugely successful day from every student that was involved, and we look forward to seeing what they can do at the Regional Swimming competition on the 23rd of March.
