World Skills

Over 500 competitors showcased and displayed a high benchmark of their skills on a national stage as they competed for gold and have a chance to represent Australia at the International Competition in Shanghai 2022. Over the three action-packed days in August Jack Waters & Aaron Cuthbertson had access to an exciting array of interactive events, workshops, and activities. The timetable (in August) for the boys was very packed, being;

Monday: Uniform presentation at Parliament House

Wednesday: Opening ceremony and familiarisation of event areas.

Thursday: Familiarisation and practice of events.

Friday: Competition run through (no judging)

Saturday: Competition Day (judged) and certificate presentation

Sunday: Pack up and return home.

Wednesday: Awards ceremony

The World Skills National competition projects were not easy, and the boys should be proud of their outstanding achievements. Below is the result scale for their category, which was Jack Waters taking Gold Medal and Aaron Cuthbertson taking Silver Medal. Thank you for your contribution to the overall success for WA and we couldn’t be prouder of these boys. Congratulations, once again on participating in the World Skills Australian National Championships 2021.

Dinninup Shears & Boddington Show

Would like to thank all the Year 11's for being proactive and getting their dates organised for next year the roster will be emailed out to all at the beginning of Term 1 2022.

Third Party Reports

Would like to thank all students for submitting their units that they required a third-party report for completion over the summer break. All third-party reports have been sent out and if you have not received any please come and see me before end of Term. If any parents or employers need clarification on the requirements to fill in the third-party reports, please don't hesitate to contact myself over the summer break to ensure we are supporting these students in receiving all the evidence towards their Certificates.

Certificate III Notification

All 2022 submissions for selection of Certificate III courses have gone under review and notification of selection has been emailed to students. The selection process takes into consideration of the below factors:

  • ONLA Results
  • Attendance at the College
  • Behaviour Reports throughout the College
  • Completion of required knowledge towards AHC20116 Certificate II in Agriculture

The students that have been selected will be taken through unit selection process and given logins to their assignments over the next couple of weeks. It is important that all students attend Farm until the end of Term so we can explain the requirements of what is needed to be completed over the summer break.  Please get your signed offers returned to me by the 17th of November 2021.

Only 2 weeks left of school please take every opportunity to complete Year 11 requirements for your Agriculture Certificates to set you up for Year 12 programs 🙂
