School Gardens

As you will all be aware, there was a considerable amount of work done on the school gardens over the past few weeks.

On behalf of the school community, we'd like to say a huge thanks to our resident green thumb gardening dad, Keith Smyth.  Keith's son, Jack, is in 1C.

Keith did a walk around the school, planned out the plants and planting schedule, ordered the shrubs and plants from the nursery, distributed them around the school, dug holes and was there each planting day to help and guide the students and parent volunteers.  He gave up a lot of his time when he would normally be working in his own business, and nothing was a problem for him.

If anyone is looking for a top quality gardener please reach out to Keith, his gardening/landscaping business is already becoming well known by BPS families.  Give him a shout, and as he likes to say, "everything will be grand!"

The world needs more trees and plants to help combat climate change.  With the support of the PFC, we involved as many students as possible to help with planting, with Principal Steve giving planting demonstrations.   Many thanks to all involved.
