Welcome to Winter!

The cooler weather is here and students are rugging-up in jumpers and jackets. We have plenty of school jumpers and jackets in our uniform stock - just order through the front office. A reminder that beanies are not part of our uniform and our colours are green!!

So much has been going on in our school as we near the end of term 2 (and the half-way point in the year!):

Congratulations to Mrs Maatouk - who gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Sophia, last week.
Thank you to the parents who attended our Asthma information workshop last week - more information about asthma can be found at Asthma Australia.
Congratulations to Mrs Mellish and Ms Ward who represented GEPS at a 4Cs conference in Brisbane last Thursday/Friday. They shared what we are doing to increase student agency and build creativity, collaboration, communication and critical reflection at GEPS.
Well done to Mrs Yee and Mrs El Bety, who spent 2 days last week at a conference for school admin support staff - learning lots of new things and being acknowledged for their great work.
Thank you to the Student Leadership Team for their efforts last week. I met with them to get some feedback on our Student Agency framework - identity, belonging, mastery and efficacy. They gave great insights (see below).
Thank you to the families who came for Learning Conversations - these are special invitations to take some time to talk about your child's learning and progress.
Thank you to our teachers and students, who are continuing to work hard on learning in classrooms - even though we're all getting a bit tired!

Students across the school are working hard to finalise learning units - and with excursions and expo's coming up there is lots happening inside classrooms too.
