Trinity Wins Again!

On Wednesday evening this week, Riley Hall (7.4), Felix Sui (8.2), Thomas Batten (7.7) and reserve Lucas Hall (7.4) represented Trinity College at the Western Australian Debating League (WADL) - Schools Debating Competition and won their debate against the team from John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School.

The topic for the evening was: This house regrets NAPLAN, with Trinity debating on the Affirmative. A contentious issue even today, the boys prepared and raised some pertinent points about the relevance and validity of NAPLAN within our education system and worked hard to deliver their speeches with aplomb and confidence.

It is always a pleasure watching the boys debate enthusiastically, and I am pleased to note that their skills are also progressing well. With only two more debates left this WADL discussing season, we certainly look forward to more wins ahead.
