Sacrament of Reconciliation

As a school we would like to congratulate the students in Year 3 who received the Sacrament of the Reconciliation last week. The students were excellent representatives for our school at the liturgy; they were both prayerful and reverent.

Student reflection of Reconciliation:

I felt excited about Reconciliation when I went to the Priest. I felt happy and loved by God. It was special because the Priest was there and it was my first Reconciliation.

Usually lots of people are afraid of a big crowd, but I like speaking in front of a lot of people. When I walked up to the Priest that was hearing Reconciliation I actually felt really comfortable talking to him about my sins. When it was done I felt really happy. It was special because my family was there with me.

Greta 3/4R

I was a bit nervous but once I went to the Priest and I told the Priest all my sins I felt better about it. It felt good to get all the stuff that I have done off my chest and it was nice talking to someone. It was special because I could talk to the Priest and do the reading in front of everyone.

Imogen C 3/4F

I felt like I was being forgiven and when I was saying it I felt safe and protected. When I went back to my seat I was smiling. At the very end when everyone finished Reconciliation I felt like everyone was happy. It was special because I knew that my parents and my family were proud of me.

Hendrix C 3/4F

I felt really happy that my family was there, and I felt grateful for the Priests that were helping us. It was special going up on the altar for my first Reconciliation with the Priest. Sonny 3/4S

When it was time for Reconciliation, when I was sitting waiting for my turn I was nervous but I knew that I could do it. When I did it I felt much more comfortable because the Priest was very nice. When I was doing my reading I wasn't as nervous as when we practised and that made me happy. It was special because for me it means that even though I make mistakes God will always love me.
