Another exciting week/fortnight in our School of Innovation! 

Congratulations to our Year 9 students and staff for their incredible work and efforts that culminated in our Market Day on Tuesday June 13th. We are so proud of the planning, the organisation and the execution of the amazing entrepreneurial mini stalls featured and the beautiful joy and excitement it created for our school community and members. 

Thank you to everyone who assisted and participated in the wonderful success of this. A special thank you to our Year 9 students and our Year 9 staff team who went above and beyond to make this such a success!

School Of Innovation ~ Year 7

“Oh wow, we are almost through our first semester of our Year 7 year, we are nearly in Year 8!” A wonderful quote overheard in the Year 7 classroom as students were reflecting on so many things that have adapted to, learned and experienced during their time at St Anne’s College. 

Our Year 7 students have been engaged in their learning about Urbanisation in Global studies, the Italian language (Duolingo is a favourite, as are our quizzes based on Italy and Italian culture!) and our Specialist subjects. They are continuing to improve with their Learner Assets and understanding the school expectations to support and maximise their learning and school experience.    

School of Innovation ~ Year 8

Our year 8 future surgeons tested their skills last week in the science lab completing a heart dissection. There was an excited feeling about the classroom as students investigated the chambers of the heart and noted that heart strings are actually a thing. All students that participated were fantastic in how they conducted this practical session and some have described it as the highlight of the science year! 

It has been incredible to observe our Year 8 students grow in confidence and understanding as they develop and enhance their skills and knowledge in Science.
