From the Principal

Benvenuto - Welcome

This term has been a short 9 weeks, jam packed with many learning experiences for our community. From camps, to sporting events, excursions,  first nations commemoration experiences, special masses, sacraments, exams, and all the learning in between,  our students have a lot to be proud of. 

As the term draws to a close, I encourage all in the community to utilise this time to reflect on the achievements, connections and enjoyment the last 9 weeks have brought. When the students reports come out at the end of next week, I encourage the students to look at the growth they have achieved.

It is my hope that over the break, you get to spend some quality time with your young person and the holidays are full of joyous memories and down time. Remember to bring the Resilience Project GEM principles to life showing gratitude, empathy and mindfulness in each day! 

I would like to extend my appreciation to the dedicated staff at St Anne’s for your support and collaboration across the term.  May you find time to rest, restore and reflect over the break. 

Just a reminder that Term 3 will commence for students on Tuesday the 11th of July. Until then, we wait in anticipation to what term 3 will bring!

NAIDOC week. 

This  year, NAIDOC week runs from the 2nd until the 9th of July. NAIDOC week is a dedicated period of time each year that celebrates and recognises the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This years theme “For our elders” pays respect to the promenade impact and influence elders have on the courses that we travel and the way in which we grow and develop. Knowledge, strength and wisdom is passed down from generation to generation by the elders.

NAIDOC week celebrations will be held Australia wide across this week!
