Grade 1 and 2

Term 2

Term 2 Reflection

Thank you everyone for a wonderful Term 2. The Grade 1/2 students have embraced every learning opportunity. Our Inquiry unit lead the way with all things 'Living Things'.

Term 2 has been packed full of adventure.

Early in the term we had mini hoops followed by our whole school down ball event.

The following week started with a fantastic Indigenous Performance from Wild Man to begin Education Week. We had a great turn out for our STEAM afternoon, where students and families worked together in a range of STEAM activities and gathered on the oval for the rocket launch. To round out this week, we had such a special morning with our Grandparents and Special Person's Day.

Throughout the rest of the term, we had visitors come to support us in our learning on Living Things. We had Chris from Wild Action come and share a range of living things and talk to us about their habitats, survival and how we can support our environment and living things.

Templestowe College students taught our students about the biological science of living things. To round out the term the Grade 2 students headed to Edendale Farm to investigate further how living things can live together in harmony.

Disco fun!

Our end of term disco was on Tuesday night, we had so much fun dancing the night away with our friends! We were able to give requests to DJ Ben, and he played some of our favourite songs. Thanks to all of the parent helpers and younger brothers and sisters who danced along with us, it was such a fun evening!

Enjoy the winter break and we will see you in Term 3.

Maddison Dowel, Alysha Buzzini and Peta Dibb.
