It was a quiet weekend at the College.  14 students stayed in, 12 attended Eaton Fair on Friday evening for some shopping while 2 of the boys went into Harvey for football.

Generally a lazy weekend with many catching up on their much-desired sleep and lots of socialising around the fire which has been a blessing during the colder weather.

Kryssie took 2 students into Harvey Saturday for a quick re-stocking trip and Brenton took 10 students into Timezone on Saturday night.

There was quite a bit of action Sunday afternoon with Country Week preparation and the arrival and departure of students.

With limited numbers of students on site, on Monday it was decided to give students alternative options during prep and the movie “Aliens in the Attic” was on show on the large screen in the gymnasium.  Most of the students watched the movie whilst some diligent students did prep in the dining room or conference room.

Tuesday evening saw some students doing prep, others played charades, some played dodge ball and some socialised and played games in the pool room.

A few of the boys continue to work on the Mountain Bike track.

Knock out Pool Tournament

On Wednesday evening 24 students went on a trip to Eaton Fair and others chose to stay behind.  They played board games and basketball, hung out in the TV room and generally socialised.  An enjoyable evening was had by all.

Mr White ran Bingo on Thursday evening for students in the dining room. There were lots of laughs with the students assisting with the slogans for the bingo numbers. The results were quite comical from all reports.

Today will be the last day of duty for John White as a residential supervisor. John came on board around seven years ago as a casual staff member to assist with looking after the students after hours. He then was appointed as a permanent staff member and has been a wonderful addition to our team. His quick wit and sense of humour planning and implementation skills will be sadly missed by us all. John has decided that it is time for a change and he and his wife Debbie are about to head off and enjoy some well-earned travelling both locally and abroad. I would like to wish them both all the very best and hope they have a sensational time.

We wish all parents and guardians, staff and students a very safe and enjoyable break.
