**Congratulations to all students on a fantastic term of learning and working together.

All classes have demonstrated enthusiasm for learning and being challenged to achieve their best and support one another in all areas of the school environment.

 

**Well done to our school leaders Douglas and Yagmur for leading the SRC meetings this term!! You have both demonstrated true leadership and enacted student voice!

 

Learning and events in our school this week:

 

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE ON THEIR INVOLVEMENT WITH OUR FANTASTIC SCHOOL FETE!!!!!

 

  • “Vic Kids Eat Well” Nutrition session on Tuesday for some year 1/2’s in MPR
  • Holy Week liturgy on Wednesday will be led by senior students in the Church starting at 2.15
  • Getting ready for the EXPO on Wednesday morning- let’s celebrate our learning
  • Prep - making numbers and flamingo spelling
  • 1/2 Science- we made our houses for little animals
  • In Year 3/4 we made our half face portraits
  • In Year 5/6 we are starting our class text “LION”
  • Summer gala- thank you to the teachers 
  • In year 5/6 - Info text - based on the novel and venn diagram on the novel LIon
  • Easter egg raffle and last assembly for term one on Thursday starting at 2.30 in the MPR

What can we improve on this week:

Moving safely around the play spaces 

 

Not being rough on the playground 

 

To keep everyone safe, do not block the slide so that everyone can have a turn

 

No pushing especially on the slide- keep everyone safe and respect each other

Throwing sand

 

Not climbing over the bars, being safe and responsible

 

Sand pit area is for everyone to enjoy and play safely

Interrupting games  

Be aware of games on the yard. Play in the right area

 

**The quiet area is for quiet play and packing up the games.

Can we raise money to buy another table for each year level??

 

SUGGESTIONS-

  • Can we add sushi to the lunch order menu - Cam - to follow up next term
  • In the library can we have more lexile books in the 900+
  • There are also “mature reader” books in the back room of the library with teacher discretion

Next term- Swimming will begin- please check with your class teacher 

                   Winnners from the design a soccer ball competition - will be announced

SRC Representative ACTIONS for this week

School Leaders and SRC  will be looking out for students ‘Caught Being Good’.

They will  be nominating students who are responsible, respectful and ready to learn. 

Discuss what these qualities look like.

Respectful - listening, waiting turn, walking through corridor quietly, greeting/speaking to people politely

Responsible - throwing rubbish in the bin, picking up rubbish, returning sports equipment, helping others, kindness

Ready to Learn - listening to the speaker, having materials ready for learning, being on time in class or at school.
