Dear Families,
Welcome back to all our families after what I hope has been a restful time for our children. We know that for many families, juggling work and school holidays can be challenging but I am sure our children needed the break so that they could be re-energised and ready to face the new challenges of Term 2.
Thank you all again for everything we did together during Term 1 especially in those last few weeks with our Multi Cultural Family Night, School Fete, Learning Expo, Easter Reflections and Raffle. These occassions are often the things we remember most and the things which help to build our sense of community. The money raised by our P&F from our Fete and Raffle was just over $10000 which will go towards updating and improving resources for our children. I will be meeting with members of the P&F to discuss where best these funds can be used.
As a staff we are all looking forward to another eventful and enjoyable term and trust that our partnership with families will continue to grow to enable the best learning for our children.
Term 2 Learning Overviews
Please find below links to each classes learning overview for Term 2. The Learning Overviews outline the content which will be covered in all areas of the curriculum throughout the term.
Prep 2024 Enrolments
We continue to meet with new families wishing to enrol their children into Trinity for Prep 2024 and I encourage all current families who may have a child not yet enrolled to collect an enrolment form from the office as soon as possible. Thank you all for the great 'Word of Mouth' sharing about our wonderful school as this is always our best form of advertising. If you know families or neighbours looking for a school for next year they can drop in anytime for a school tour or contact the office to book a suitable time.
ANZAC DAY
Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served".
On Monday we gathered as a school to reflect on all those who have fought and died in conflict in the hope that sometime in the near future we can live in a world free from war.
School Closure Days
As you would be aware, each year schools are required to provide professional learning for all staff on a number of school clsoure days throughout the year. The first and last day of each school year is mandated as a school closure day to allow for whole school planning. This year we will also have student free days on:
Soccer & Basketball Clinics
Our soccer and basketball clinics have been a great success in Term 1 and we are looking forward to them once again in Term 2. Please ask at the office for more information.
