Roll Marking

Student Attendance
- It is essential that electronic rolls are marked promptly at the start of each lesson and are amended to reflect any changes in the student’s attendance for each lesson. Please do not mark rolls before class starts as this creates errors.
- Parents are contacted at 10:20am via text message of any student absence at the start of the day. Other contacts will be made throughout the day as determined by the sub-school and/or Year Level Leaders
- An attendance officer in each sub-school monitors student attendance
Student Lateness
- Students late to Period 1 without a pass should be sent to the relevant Sub-school.
- Student arriving after the bell for all other periods should be marked as late on the COMPASS roll by the teacher
Roll Marking
- Staff are expected to maintain an up to date and current record of all student attendance in their Chronicle/Planner/Diary. This is a DET legal requirement
- College attendance is maintained via COMPASS for each lesson. Details of students leaving class to attend other activities are recorded on COMPASS by the General Office
- The roll is to be marked on COMPASS for each class at the start of the lesson.
- If you are unable to mark the roll on your laptop for any reason, please record the class and the names of students absent on a sheet of paper and send it to the attendance officer in the relevant sub-school at the start of the lesson
