'Back To School'
Assemblies Inspire Our Students
This term we held our ‘Back to School’ Assemblies to honour former students by inducting them into the Frankston High School Hall of Fame. Our special guests were:
- Ms Mira Lutfi graduated from Frankston High School in 2004 before going on to study Arts/Law at Monash University. She commenced her legal career with Minter Ellison Lawyers, specialising in Competition and Consumer law, using skills developed in the corporate space. Mira enjoys providing pro bono legal advice to socially disadvantaged groups and hopes to build on this practice in the future.
- Mr Jason Page graduated from Frankston High School in 2012. He completed a double degree in Commerce and Aviation at Swinburne University. He was inspired by Aviation classes at school to take flying lessons. He had a pilot’s licence before he qualified for a driver’s licence. Jason now holds a commercial pilot’s licence and is a flight instructor at Peninsula Aero Club.
- Mr Joshua Wells graduated from Frankston High School in 2011. After completing a Bachelors Degree in 2015, Joshua chose to defer a Master Of Education to pursue music. Throughout those busy years Joshua has worked within the music industry, playing around Australia and touring internationally in various musical projects along with working in artist management, artists & repertoire, events and instrumental tuition. In 2015 Joshua devised a charity program raising funds for Arts Access Victoria, an Australian initiative which helps provide access to arts and cultural activities for those who are disadvantaged.
As you can imagine, these speakers greatly inspired our students, giving a powerful message that if students are able to identify their passions, strengths and talents at school and build upon these by doing their best always, then they too are capable of pursuing very rewarding career pathways.
