All That Jazz With Friends Concert and Generations In Jazz

Last Sunday evening the Jazz Band and Jazz Combo, along with the Concert Band, Blues Band, Year 9 Band, Year 12 Band, Flute Ensemble and Smile Factory, performed for their families and friends. After working hard for the last few months and with two days of rehearsals in the holidays this was the Jazz Band’s final fundraiser and an opportunity to perform their pieces before their trip to Generations In Jazz at Mount Gambier, South Australia.

On Thursday the Jazz Band boys, along with Mr Graham, Mr Poletti and Mr McEvoy, flew out for a weekend of jazz. As well as performing themselves they will attend two concerts with Australian and international performers and then attend workshops with the artists. It will be a wonderful experience for them all.

The House Solo Eisteddford

The House Solo Eisteddfod calendared for Wednesday 17 May has been postponed to Wednesday 21 June (Week 9).
