COVID-19 Update

On 8 July the Government introduced a six week stage 3 lockdown.  Hockey Victoria cancelled the winter 2020 hockey season and all clubs suspended all training and playing activities.

Thank you to all of you who worked so hard to make our limited return to hockey possible. The people who have done the lion's share of the work are Christie Freeman and Penny Senior (Women's section), David Bevan and Sam Hill (Men's section), Leesa Needham (Juniors) and President Michael Norbury and Vice President Greg Koster. They spent hours trawling through the Sport and Recreation Victoria website and worked tirelessly with Boroondara Council, Hockey Victoria and the Hawthorn Malvern Hockey Centre to comply with new guidelines that enabled our players to return to the pitch in June and July.

We'll now turn our focus to competitive and inclusive summer programs for seniors, masters and juniors. We hope to be able to roll something out as soon as restrictions permit, and we're aiming to be actively playing from October-December if that is possible.
