Very Snuggly Quilt Program

The Year 3/4s have created their quilt blocks and these will be used in the quilts for the sick children in the  Royal Children's Hospital.

If there are any parents or grandparents who quilt or sew and would be interested in being part of this project, it would be much appreciated.  If you are interested in helping out in some way please let me know.

Thank you

Friday In Prep

Last Friday, the Preps made some milkshakes when we were learning about the letter Mm.

We used milk, ice-cream and flavouring to make them. We mixed all the ingredients together in a special milkshake maker.

We could choose from chocolate, strawberry or vanilla. They were delicious! We know lots of other Mm words now, too.

P-2 Need your help!

If you have any old, small appliances at home and would like to donate them to P-2 'Discovery Learning Center' could you please bring them in to either Bethany, Alexandra or Ann we would really appreciate it!

Year 5/6 News:

#Thomas:

This term we were instructed to make a bookshelf out of recycled materials which includes cardboard, hot glue gun, paper and many other recycled materials in the Makerspace area. We also had to pick a partner, I chose my friend, Ryan. My bookshelf can hold 12 books so far.

#Huy:

The Bookcase project was introduced to us by Marty, who right now, as of this moment, is painting his bookcase, yellow, because of his deep affection for the Richmond Tigers. My bookcase is designed after a book, making it foldable, of course in the beginning nothing went according to plan, but I soon realized I didn’t need to make it act like a book, but look like it. So I set to work and made it a tad more foldable than planned. Right now I’m pasting paper to it to make It more reinforced and sturdy to hold my books.

#David:

This is my bookshelf and it took a while before I got my idea, so, while I was thinking, I helped my partner, Leon. But, when I got my idea, I got going and after halfway, I decided to cut a bit of the main part of my box. And now I am nearly finished! Just one more week and I’ll be done.

Year 1/2 News

Last Friday, the Year 1/2's went for a walk to the Preston Post Office to post our letters to the children at Mallacoota Primary School.

At the Post Office, Ishe gave the big envelope to the postal worker, Merida, who weighed it and put $2.20 worth of stamps on it. Stephanie and Glendon put the letters in the big post box outside. We learnt that the address of the person you are sending to goes on the front of the envelope, and the address of the person sending the letter goes on the back.

Reconciliation Committment Mass

Last Sunday students from Year 3, as well as students from The Sacred Heart Parish reaffirmed their vow, to follow Jesus and the Catholic Faith.
