Traffic Safety

Road safety around our school

Malvern Primary School has been invited by the City of Stonnington to participate in the 2020 VicRoads Safe Routes to School program.

This program aims to increase active travel and improve road safety around the school through education, infrastructure improvements (where possible), community engagement activities and the development of an easy to follow active travel plan.

 Upcoming key dates:

  • SCHOOL TRAVEL SURVEY – Have your say in safe travel to school

We are taking part in a school-wide travel survey as part of Safe Routes to School with Council. Students will complete an in-class activity and parents are also invited to participate.

It will take parents only 4 minutes to complete the online survey. The results will be evaluated in a data analysis report and used to pinpoint the current thinking of students and parents in the area of active travel. From this, an active travel plan will be developed for the school.

The survey is open until the 17th March.

  • Pop-Up Stall your chance to share any concerns and ideas on road safety with Council – Tuesday 17 March, 3pm – 3.30pm.

We look forward to your input and involvement in working together to create an active and safe school.
