In conjunction with aiming to create an environmentally sustainable Marian College and tackle personal waste habits, the Sustainability Council made beeswax wraps! Made by infusing cotton with food-grade beeswax and jojoba oil, these nifty wraps are an awesome alternative to cling film and zip lock bags.

Unlike conventional plastic, beeswax wraps last from six months to a year and are re-usable, keeping unnecessary waste out of landfills. The Sustainability Council endeavours to continue promoting environmentally friendly practices and behaviours. We meet fortnightly and participate in similar activities, whilst seeking environmental justice and education. The vitality of the Earth concerns all. As a result of this, we highly encourage all to join the Sustainability Council.
