Uniform Update

As we head towards the beginning of Term 2, we remind all families that preparations should be in place for the wearing of the winter uniform.

With this in mind, all students are required  to have either a winter skirt, white shirt and school tie or the new school trousers, white shirt and tie.

The  new white shirt with the College emblem is to be phased in and is to be worn with the College trousers and, from 2021, the winter skirt. For our current Year 7s, when they are purchasing the trousers or winter skirt, the new white shirt with the College emblem is compulsory. Any student purchasing the winter trousers is to purchase the white shirt with College emblem.

A uniform purchasing evening has been organised for Year 7 students on Wednesday 18 March.

Please note that we are phasing out of the tartan school trousers.

The Importance of Health and Hygiene

With the media very much talking about Coronavirus and the need to be proactive rather than reactive,  we remind everyone of the need to be aware of our own personal health precautions that include:

  • Staying away from school if you are feeling unwell and only returning when you are better – as previously mentioned in the letter sent via CareMonkey at the beginning of term.
  • Ensuring that you wash your hands thoroughly over the course of the day particularly after using the bathroom. Washing should be with the soap or hand sanitizer provided.
  • Ensuring that, when sneezing or coughing, we do so into a tissue or our sleeve.
  • If using tissues, that we dispose of them in the bins provided and not leave them on surfaces such as tables for others to touch.

We will continue to follow the quarantine guidelines for students who may have travelled to the areas identified by the Government. We will also continue to keep our families informed with the most up to date information provided to us by the Victorian Health Department or Federal Government, over the course of this period.

It is important at this time that we continue to ensure that our own personal hygiene practices are at the highest levels to ensure that our community stays as healthy as it can be throughout winter and the challenges ahead.
