CAREERS INFO:
VICTORIAN TERTIARY ADMISSION CENTRE [VTAC]
What is VTAC?
The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) is the central office that administers the application processes for places in tertiary courses, scholarships and the Special Entry Access Scheme at universities, TAFEs and independent tertiary colleges in Victoria (and a few outside Victoria). VTAC receives and forwards application information and supporting documentation to the relevant authorities at institutions.
VTAC is not a selection authority, does not determine the selection criteria used by institutions and does not decide who will receive an offer. All decisions about which applicants are offered a place are made by the course selection authorities at institutions.
After selection decisions have been made by the course authorities at institutions, VTAC sends offer messages to successful applicants on the institutions’ behalf. A reminder to Year 12 students to continually check VTAC for updates.
For more information go to their website at www.vtac.edu.au
COURSESEARCH
CourseSearch provides up-to-date detailed course information for all courses with applications through VTAC and some courses with applications direct to the institution.
Year 10 and 11 students. CourseSearch will help students to plan a future VCE program It will also allow them to identify which VCE studies they will need to be eligible for any potential courses they have in mind.
Year 12 students can also use the prerequisite search to add their current VCE program and prospective ATAR range to view the range of courses available for including on their 2018 course application.
Information about other forms of selection criteria are outlined in course entries listed on CourseSearch. For an explanation, see Course selection criteria.
Students should now be researching and investigating options for 2019 and beyond. For more information go to their website at www.vtac.edu.au
